Summary:
We backpack and canoe primarily in southern Florida, including the Keys, the Everglades, and the Big Cypress. This sleeping bag is ideal for this climate and usage. We've used these bags under a range of conditions for the past two seasons, and could not be more pleased.

The Light Year 3D is very light (2# 3oz), so it's great for backpacking. Also, it's very compact, so it doesn't take up much room in the dry bags while kayaking.

The sack also is ideal of the weather conditions experience here. While rarely below 35F, it's very humid. I'm a cold sleeper, and this bag is very comfortable at 35 even sleeping in my skivvies. At the other extreme, it's very comfortable even at temperatures in the 70's. The feet zip open, and the nylon shell doesn't feel 'sticky'.

The best feature of this sleeping bag is how fast it dries. Down here, it's easy to get things wet, and down takes forever to dry. This sleeping bag, even when completely soaked, will dry in 2 hours or less. My son rolled off the chickee into the river while inside the sleeping bag. We hung the sack upside down, and it was dry before he was. I slept in it that night, and though it got into the 50's (cold here), it was very warm.

In summary, this sleeping bag is ideal for warm, wet climates, or summer excursions around water. It's light, very durable, and relatively inexpensive. I'm glad we switched from down.
