This is my favorite all-purpose bag. The price/performance ratio is probably the best out there. Like most bags, the temp rating is a wee bit exaggerated. It is warm down to 40 F or so. At 35, it's not comfortable, just bearable. Once the inner lining came apart at the seam below the foot; it was easily sewn back together. Even so, the overall construction is quite good. It is very light and compact, and with Kelty's optional fleece liner, can be warm down to an additional 10 degress or so. I don't have to worry about it getting damp since there's no down in it. The climate where I usually go out is often wet, and rarely colder than the rating of this bag, so it fits the bill perfectly. I love the cinch system. The face draw cord is flat, and the body draw cord is round, (I just remember that "Face = Flat") so you can make subtle adjustments in total darkness.
Many other bags are warmer, and a nearly all other bags are more expensive. The Kelty Stratus offers a lot for the price. Similar Products Used:
