Price Paid:  $400.00 at Valhalla Pure Outfit

Summary:
My husband tells me I spend more time snuggling up to my Couloir than I do with him. This is such a silky, light bag you will never want to emerge from it. It's the only bag that keeps my feet warm without suffocating the rest of me. I had to return the Pinnacle because my feet were too cold. I even unzip it and sleep in it at home.

Customer Service:
Excellent. They've sent me washing instructions and allowed me to exchange my Pinnacle for the Couloir.

Price Paid:  $225.00 at ebay

Summary:
First bag that ever kept my feet warm w/o chemical packs. Face muff on hood is incredible. You can snug it down to where your mouth and nose are only exposed and the fabric is super soft on your eyes.

Customer Service:
No experience.

Price Paid:  $210.00 at eBay

Summary:
I've used this bag in a variety of conditions (Yellowstone/Tetons in spring, up and down the WA/OR coast, St. Helens, Rainier) and I have *always* been too hot! :) I consistently end up in my boxers and fumbling with the zipper to let more air in, this bag is a monster.

Extremely comfortable, I love the extra room and padding they give to the head area, perfect for stuffing a pillow into. The sturdy zipper never bites into the nylon, preventing that extra wear and tear of zipper tracks - a big pet peeve of mine. Super roomy around the feet.

This bag has a high list price, but you generally get what you pay for... I got lucky on eBay (low price, good seller, extremely low usage), but this bag is worth every penny of the full price. If you have that many pennies, of course. Snap it up if you see a deal on it.

It will be a sad day when I retire this bag. In fact, I think I will go give it a hug right now. Excuse me.

Customer Service:
Hasn't been needed, but judging from the other reviews I haven't got much to worry about.

Reviewed by: cgreen ,  Backpacker , from Lexington

Price Paid:  $325.00 at REI

Summary:
Superior sleeping bag! I have been backpacking for thirty years now and I have not had this comfortable of a bag with the exception of sieria designs sand man.The colure is rated down to zero I have not been in weather that cold yet but I stayed very warm in the winter when I used it in north carolina this year. The best thing about this bag is the face muff, no other bag that I have used offers the same comfort as marmont around the face. All other bags I have used when not putting my face in the bag dug into my skin. The colure is a down bag that is suposed to hold up to years of torture un like my sandman made of polorgard 3D which lost its loft after one year. Still a great bag I just use mine a lot more than most people nine nights a month. Cons are it is still a bit tight for this broad sholdered man chest 46ins but very comfortable, a great winter bag

Summary:
I bought the colure with my dividen check and cupon from REI and got a great deal. used it for the last three months and I love this bag. A bit tight on the inside for this 250 lb man but is very warm. I have never had a bag with such a comfortable hood around my face. 20 degrees is the coldest I have had it in and it worked great.
