$0.00 Summary: I can honestly say that this has been a fine bag the last 5 or so years that I have owned it. I have spent easily over 100 nights in it since I got it as a gift several years ago. Though it leaks some down, it has never let me down. It seems to be accurate wtih its temp rating and is quite light. This bag has seen Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, South and North Dakota, lots of the AT in Georgia and North Carolina in all types of weather. Overall a fine choice. at Hilton's Tent City ( Summary: Just took this bag on a 4-day October through hike on a New England trail. Nice and light. Kept me warm except for last day, which felt like 35 or so but I had no thermometer so it was hard to tell. Have had about 10 feathers leak, but I think its light weight justifies it. Stuff sack is pretty waterproof. Similar Products Used: None, this is my first bag.

at online Summary: This review is for the 2003 model- the silver and black one...
I found this bag to be super roomy. I have the long bag- I am 6', 170 lbs. IMO the temp rating is optimistic at 30F. I would call this a 40F bag if you are my size and an average temp sleeper. For comparison, I also have a Marmot Pinnacle (the older 2001? blue model) and consider the temp rating of it to be accurate at 15F.
My only complaint on this bag is no draft collar. For my size, the bag had *too* much girth and the heat escaped out of it. With a draft collar, it would be a 30F bag for me. I would gladly add 1-2 oz and $20 for a draft collar Customer Service: used in the past for another item and they were very helpful. Similar Products Used: TNF blue kazoo, Marmot Pinnacle and Aiguille

at REI Summary: I purchased my Arroyo as soon as it was available from Marmot. I have one of the first ones available to the consumer. Good old REI will order anything for members without deposit. That is hard to beat when you would like to test drive a bag in the store before purchase. My feelings on this bag are great. I have washed it 3 times because I use this bag 3 seasons, as long as it stays above 25 degrees. I am a big old ex football player. I stand 6'2" and weigh around 230. This bag has great girth and a superb shape. I have never froze with this bag. Marmot has produced a wonderful product. I stands up to washing, make sure to double or triple rinse, and leaks minimal feathers. The baffles are still intact and the fabric has held up great. The Nikwax treatment has faded, but that is ok. The bag dries quickly from condensation exposure on a sunny day. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone. If your a big guy or gal, you can`t go wrong. Customer Service: I have sent back a heavily used shell for repair and they turned it around in about 2 weeks. That is great survice. Similar Products Used: REI bags. Custom bag built by a great bag builder in Seattle,Jack`s Comforters. He rebuilt my old REI bag into a great winter furnace.

$0.00 Summary: This is the bag that, after exhaustive research, I decided to take on the AT for a thru-hike this year. I knew Marmot made good bags, but I couldn't believe how greatly it exceeded my expectations. First, Marmot is unparalleled (in my humble opinion) in the fit of its bags, especially the hood. But the roominess was nothing to complain about either (I'm 6', 180lbs, was 210 at start of trip). Also, the bag temp rating is understated at 30 deg. I stayed comfortable at 25 deg, with wind gusts of 20mph on an exposed ridgeline, while my companions were complaining about their bags' inferior shell material. Weight is fairly accurate at 2lbs, 2oz. Some problem with down escaping, but not too bad overall. However, I may be converted to the even lighter WM Ultralite, if the hype is true. Still, tough to leave an established company and product. Too many sleeping bags, too little time! Customer Service: very good so far on other products Similar Products Used: various Moonstone, SD, Mountain Hardwear bags
