Summary:
This is the perfect pad to carry on any backpacking trip. As well as a great sleeping pad I carry mine up to summits for a cooshey place to watch the sun set.
It doesn't compress as much as an inflatable, however, not worring about leaks and having the no-slip surface make Mountain Hardwear the best every time.

Summary:
Comfiest night's sleep I've had. Took it with me to Smith Rock where it's warm during the day and freezing at night. Set up camp at sunset and went to sit by the campfire for a few hours. Nice balmy spring day turned bitterly cold and windy as soon as the sun went down. Crawled into my tent and found that the ground was still toasty with trapped heat underneath the sleeping pad. I was definately not cold that night. The Backcountry pad is cushier than other pads so it doesn't pack up very small but it's pretty light. Good for light camping and backpacking if you don't mind the slightly bulkier size.

Summary:
I've taken this pad canoing, kayaking, and backpacking--it's done everything I could ask for. It rolls up fairly small and it's long enough for me. At about 5'6", my legs below the knee stick off the pad, which doesn't bother me in the slightest. Everything that needs to be padded and insulated from conductive heat loss is.

If I had this to buy over again, I'd get the High Mountain version, since it rolls up a little smaller and has a slightly higher insulative power (and it costs the exact same).

Basically, this pad is like everything else Mountain Hardwear makes: durable, intelligently engineered, and eminently functional. And the price is quite reasonable--cheaper than most Therm-a-rests.

Customer Service:
Mountain Hardwear has an excellent customer service department. I've never had to use it, but friends have told me that they'll repair or replace more or less anything that doesn't hold up.

Summary:
Great Pad. I have used the thermarest ulralite which is a little thinner and half the weight, but the MH is longer comfyer and is the same price. I don't have to worry about springing a leak as well. it's surface is very sticky and the pillow pocket is great. i have even used it to study for a math test.

Summary:
I absolutely love this pad. I am a short guy only 5' 6" but this is the perfect pad. Great for comfort and warmth. Best nights sleep camping i have ever had.
