Price Paid:  $15.00 at E-bay (price include

Summary:
I have many stoves and wanted to have a canister type that could support a lantern as well as a stove. This stove is a little heavy at 9 oz but, for the price is great. It burns redhot with 10,000 btu's allowing a rolling boil to a gentle simmer with the valve adjustment knob. I was able to boil two cups of water at the 3/4 setting in 3 1/2 mins. I basiclly use it to make coffee with my two cup percolator and to re-hydrate food. The stove comes with a plastic set of feet that attach to the canister to improve stability. The legs are all one piece that fit together around the canister. The only draw back is that you need to grasp the two legs that join the feet together when you want to reposition the stove. If you try to adjust the stove while it is running with a pot on top the legs will seperate if they get stuck in the dirt etc. (Should you really move a burning stove anyway?). The stove has four wire legs that serve as a pot holder. I made a windscreen from some thick foil from a turkey type baking pan. I molded it over the stove and cut the foil so it had a 1 1/2 inch overhang. Then I cut out a hole in the center big enough for the flame to fit at the highest setting. This created a lip that fit on top of the reamining wire pot holder. This is another weight saver as it serves the windscreen purpose and is lighter than a metal manufactured one.

Customer Service:
I never had a problem so I cannoit rate this area.

Price Paid:  $1500.00 at Gander Mountain

Summary:
This little stove is a very good stove, even at high altitudes. I have two of these types of stoves, and both work very well. I heated my half gallon pot of water in about 4 and a half minutes. Very fast I thought.

Summary:
Bomber stove. Still swear by it after 2 years of backpacking with it. Few stoves come close in light weight and easy use. Fuel consumption seems to vary a lot depending on the weather/altitude. Took me a while to learn to light it fast; in sunny conditions its hard to see the flame so you don't know if its lit. Use a powerful lighter, skip the matches. Can be found at most Sport Chalets.

Price Paid:  $14.00 at Scheels

Summary:
This was my first backpacking stove. It was the cheapest one in the store so I bought it. Glad I did. It performed great, although you might want to make a windshield for it out of heavy duty foil. If you don't want to get a white gas stove go with this one. You can pay more, but won't get a better value.
