Review Abstract
"A great little stove" that is "lightweight and reliable." The unit provides the ease of set up, use, rapid heating and dependability that is hard to beat. Some reviewers felt Tristar 270 may not be a "great choice for cold weather." Extreme coldness can sometimes make the unit difficult to light. There was some criticism regarding the three heat control settings "all of them run too hot to allow controlled simmering." The cartridges are also "pricey." Final polls indicate this product receives an overall 5 star rating. "Definite bang for the buck."

Summary:
easy to cook with, easy to control high low, settings. A major problem hoever, is that it is difficult after the tank is less full, to get enough pressure for the flame to be large enough to boil water.
This is a huge problem as after about 1 hour intense heat it drops back to about half what it used to be.

Summary:
You can't do better for the money with this stove. Lightweight and compact, reliable flame, and pretty good
power. Simmering control is excellent. However, it's not a great winter camping stove and you need to shelter it from
wind--the built-in shield is insufficient. The lack of recycling options for the cartridge is a downside, but new
cartridges are apparently sold all over the world.

Summary:
The 206 is the older model which is similar to the 270 camping gaz stove. It is totally reliable and easy to use, just like turning on the gas kitchen stove at home. Improve the performance by using a wind shield. One canister will last for up to 4- 5 days or about 10-12 meals depending on what you are trying to cook. The canister gas stoves are clean and safe, but it does take longer to achieve boiling point than the liquid gas stoves.

Summary:
I just purchased the Tristar 270 and used it on a camping trip last weekend. Camping Gaz stoves are great stoves because they are easy to assemble, use, and are light weight and compact. I have never had a problem finding feul, and the fuel lasts through multiple trips.

The Camping Gaz bleuet 206 is also a very good stove. Although smaller, it is very easy to use and very inexpensive.

Summary:
I can't say enough about this stove. If you're longing to have the most high-tech stove out there so you can win the best-dressed gearhead award, then this stove is way too practical and not nearly flashy enough for you. But if what you want is a most reliable, compact, and user friendly stove, go out and get one of these. My first version of this stove was a hand-me-down that had been used for probably 15 years. After I destroyed it through abuse, I went looking for another backpacking stove. I checked out all the brands, read all the reviews and decided to stick with what I knew wouldn't let me down. It's super stable even in the most adverse conditions and the architecture of the thing allows you to cook on the most awkward surfaces. The standard fuel it uses is also a plus since you don't have to go looking far and wide to find more fuel ( a problem you might find if you buy one of the newer stoves which operate on fuel cartridges that aren't available everywhere). And the GAZ is just incredibly efficient, boiler water faster than you can imagine and burning fuel evenly for lenghtly periods.
