I decided to get the exponent because last year I bought the Coleman Exponent Lantern and it's been exstremely reliable and efficient. I have no compaints about the stove. Deffinately the best thing about it is how cheap the fuel is and how efficient it burns. I bought 1 gallon of Coleman fuel for $4.00 which filled the stove 11 times which is 17.5 hours of burning time. The other thing I like about it is that there is no set up required when it comes time to use it. Just pump it 20 times and light it. Customer Service:
Havn't had to use it however, a friend of mine who also has the same stove had his pump go out on him and had to buy a new pump at the local sporting goods store for $10. Similar Products Used:
Campgaz 270, not a bad stove but the canisters are spendy and it's a little unstable.

I have had this stove for about a week now and love it! I just recently returned from a 4 day backpacking trip of which I took it on. I topped the fuel tank off at the trail head and repacked it in my pack. The little gem lasted all the way until breakfast the 3rd day! All you have to do is give it about 20-25 pumps, hold a match to it, and light it. As with all other liquid fuel backpacking stoves, yellow flames were emmited for about 15 seconds and then presto! It's chugging along like a burner from my home stove! I was astonished that this little stove boiled 16oz of water in 1min 51sec. I had my rice (yes rice! It can simmer well!) in no time! We had other trek members bring stoves - one being a sterno and the other a MSR propane/isobutane stove - but neither compared to the extreme performace that the Feather 442 provides you with. I have not tried unleaded gasoline, however I am told that burns fairly dirty. The white gas (Coleman Fuel) I used burned extremely clean. I cannot stress how impressed I am with this excellant stove.
Anyone who will not mind some weight will find that this is the last backpacking stove they will buy. Customer Service:

i think it is a great stove for the cash. i think it could be a little lighter and the lunor legs could have been better designed.
first the stove is a little heavy and bulkey. i can live with it though because it fits good in my pack. it's a one piece and that doesn't help a bit on the bulkyness. it has never failed me and that is good because a MSR wisper light i borrowed from my dad came close to burning down the montain the first time i have used it. i would recoment this stove if you didn't mind a little bit of bulk and weight. i full tank will get you a good 5-6 days depending on you cooking style. a great buy as far as i can tell. i will go with 4 stars because of the bulky/weight thing, not that it isn't livable with..but because it is there.
