at Wal-Mart Summary: If you want an affordable stove that's lightweight with good performance, the Peak 1 Micro is a good choice. I boiled a quart of water in about 3 1/2 minutes. The temperature control isn't very precise, however, so it's kind of difficult to get it down to a really low simmer without extingushing the stove. Result---slightly burned pancakes.
Overall, though, if you need a low-price stove that functions like a high-priced one, this one should fit the bill.

Price Paid:
$15.00 Summary: I LOVE THIS STOVE!! I don't know what these other people are saying, but I find this stove is excellent for its size. I also find the fuel canisters last a LONG time. All that you have to do is not crank the burner all the way up and you greatly increase the burn time. I have been backpacking with this stove eveywhere, and it hasn't let me down. Once, while on Cumberland Island, I used one of the large Peak1 canisters (the 3250) over three days. Great BTUs, great fuel consumption. Similar Products Used: None

, from Toledo, Ohio, USA Summary: I have found this stove to be great. I like not having to pour the fuel in and then pump it up. Its niv\ce just twisting on a canister and fireing it up. And it boils water very quick. At only $25 its a good deal. Similar Products Used: None

, from Richmond,BC,Canada Summary: I have used this little stove for 3 years, mostly in the summer. I have no problems with the stove. It's inexpensive, small & light, and puts out alot of BTU's. I do have a problem with the prop/butane fuel lindall valve cannisters, which the stove uses, though because I find that they are a pain to use in cold weather. I have found this stove will burn other propane/butane fuel mixtures in other brand name cannisters with the same valve quite happily. If you want a summer backpacking stove, I recommend it. , from Seattle, WA Summary: I recently bought a used Peak1 Micrc Butane stove for $15 at a garage sale. I had to shop around to find one of the smaller Peak1 cartridges for it - all the local sporting goods stores in my area seemed to be out of them, or not stocking them at all. That's a little worriesome. Anyway, the thing fires up right away and you are instantly cooking. I boiled a litre of water in just under 4 minutes, so the good press it gets for that seems to be accurate. It's about the easiest thing to use. I haven't actually cooked with it yet, and I understand the life of the small cartridge is only about 20 minutes. Still it looks like the stove will do very well for a solo backpacker, or more if people are willing to carry more fuel cartridges. All in all, it looks like a cool little stove and I am looking forward to trying it out. Customer Service: None Similar Products Used: SVEA123, Optimus 99, Peak1 Multi-Fuel
