at campmor Summary: Found this on closeout last spring. It has performed well on a number of day hikes. The suspension works well for a day pack and transfers the load to the hips, which is much more comfortable than a standard daypack. I have yet to totally fill it, although it did carry my two year old without a problem. A good all-around pack to carry the essentials. Customer Service: None needed. Mountaineer
, from Las Vegas, Nevada Summary: Excellent pack without a doubt. This little pack has been all over the world with me and has been through some serious abuse with no sign of weakness. Customer Service: To the person who rated this pack poorly...you apparently don't know how to pre-fit a pack and you just buy stuff and hope it works out for you. Your trouble with the Shadow Peak is due to your lack of foresight. I'm 5'11" and the pack works great for me. I knew it would before I left the shop with it. Similar Products Used: None

Mountaineer
, from Anchorage, Alaska Summary:
The shadow peak sucks-to small for all of mountaineering gear, it is adjustable I adjusted it all the way to it's largest setting (being 5' 11") and the hip belt rode up past my button de mi belly which really pissed me off especially because it has two adjustments and they don't even work. If I have a shovel, skiis, and a mountain axe where do I put them so they are easily acessable on the outside of the pack. The pilot peak is a much better design and it zips all the way around so you don't have to take everything out that's on top to get to the stuff on bottom.

Backpacker
, from Memphis, Tn Summary: I originally bought this pack to use on overnight trips instead of the teraplane OK i own as that seemed to be just too much for quick weekend jaunts. After 2 or 3 trips out I out the pack aside for a while and returned to using the larger pack as it sat weight better and was easier to pack for these short trips. Recently as i began climbing again is S Illinois, i took all my school books out of the pack and decided to return it to real service hauling climbing gear and all i can say is i should have never stopped packing it. with a rope, 2 harnesses and all the hardware needed for climbing, it sat on my back comfortcably. AS it was small and didnt affect my balance at all i was able to scramble up and down some areas with the pack on. Ive even accidentily dropped it off a 25m face packed full of stuff. When i rapelled down to get it with my extra rope it somehow survived the fall without even a scratch or loose stitch. All i have to say is WoW a little pricey but a great lil day pack.
