Review Abstract
The Eureka Timberline 2 is “a proven and reliable performer.” This tent has proved itself as a “trusted companion” by providing shelter for some reviewers for decades. “The only drag is the weight” but “when a tent lasts for decades it more than makes up for that shortcoming.” A dependable, sturdy tent produced by a company with “great, great people.” Final analysis: “An absolutely fabulous tent for the money!”

Summary:
Received as a gift about 15 years ago, this tent has seen snow, rain, hail and, of course, many beautiful days and nights.
From week-long trips to the BWCA (when single) to backyard camp-outs with the kids (last summer), the T-2 has performed flawlessly. If an ultra-light tent is not necessary, and you don't plan on doing much winter camping, you can't go wrong with this tent.

Summary:
I bought my original (Yellow and TAN!) Timberline 2 sometime in 1982. That tent went from 10 degree weather in Penn. to the top of Mt. Hood Oregon. Numerous rainstorms and even a Hurricane! Never a problem. A little heavy, but never a worry about a good nights sleep. As an ex-girlfriend made off with it, I have recently replaced it with the frog color one. (Wish they still made the tan!)

A GREAT simple, comfortable, durable, strong, and waterproof tent. After 30 years, still going strong...

Wow. I found this site after washing the top cover and ruining it...well after 25 years something had to fail? It has been a great tent and with my boys starting to get bigger I thought i would get it out for them to play in.

yep, it sure has been good for 25 years, and I expect at leas another decade or two from it.

Price Paid:  $66.00 at Bass Pro Shop

Summary:
I bought this tent for myself a year ago when my son started camping with the boy scouts and it is great. It's been water proof in driving rain. When the colemans that several of our leaders have are being blown apart, this little tent keeps me dry and snug. Setup is trivial; I always get my tent set up before any one else. I like being able to tip it upside down while still set up so it will dry quickly at the end of the weekend.

That said, other reviewers said they put three adults in this tent. They got to be pretty small adults! I usually put my gear on one side and sleep on the other. I step outside to change my mind.

But I didn't buy it to be spacious. I bought it to provide weekend living quarters and it does that well.

When we go to summer camp for a week, I leave this tent home and take my full size dome! But for all other outings, this is the tent for me.

Summary:
This tent is the perfect rain tent. The poles are large, but if bent can be fixed. (I know) It has been on many hikes with me and has never failed once. Even at the beach when it rained 3 inches in one night with a wet dog inside.
