Summary:
Just got back from a lond weekend with this tent. It is a wonderful tent. Easy to set up and break down and great quality. Well thought out design. In the morning with the fly/rain cover on in direct sun it gets too hot to sleep (I didn't have a choice of spots or shade to set up in). I Highly recoment this tent. Also as a side note I just bought a Therma-rest Trail-Lite sleeping pad, that thing is amazingly comfortable to sleep on.

Summary:
I love this tent. I bought it two years ago and never had a problem with it during extended rafting/canoeing trips. It's main quality: it is extremely fast and easy to sent it up - quality that I really appreciated during rainy days. It offers plenty of room for two people and gear, and in spite of a few strong storms it always kept me and my gear dry. Cons: it is a little bit heavy for a backpacking trip. But for a river trip I found it PERFECT!

Summary:
i am stealing this tent from my father, its worth its weight in gold. i recently returned from a weeklong trip, and it started raining while we were in the parking lot. The ride home was when it stopped. 6 days of nonstop rain, and i never had to worry about getting cold or wet, i knew that i would be ok. when one of the girls with us was starting to go hypothermic on me, i knew that i could set up my tent in a matter of seconds, and it would be dry. granted this tent is cramped and small, but with two people in it that are experienced, its plenty of room. the vestibles are great because i always leave the door open, even in a down pour. i always stay dry too. this affords me great ventilation and a place to put things like waterbottles and boots, so i can get them in the night. a rope strung across the top area a couple of times makes a great drying rack too. all in all, i have never had a tent that as much a joy to use, and im taking it from my dad, he doesnt use it anymore :)

Customer Service:
never had to use the customer service, its always been in great shape

Reviewed by: Jeff Keenan ,  Backpacker , from Houston, Texas

Price Paid:  $200.00 at Campmor

Summary:
I have the 4XT, so I'm assuming the 2XT is just the smaller version. The 4XT is awesome! Pros: two doors, two good-sized vestibules, spacious (as with all tents, the rating is high - I wouldn't stick 4 people in there but you could), good fly coverage, good ventilation (but average "stuffiness" with the fly on), if backpacking, it breaks down well between 2-3-4 people.
Made it through sleet and heavy rain without a hitch.

Cons: heavy (but worth it!), replace the stakes with lighter ones to save some weight if backpacking. If car camping, this is the perfect 2-3 person tent!

You should always, always seal the seams on your tent, no matter what make or model!
