I used the Nest 1 with the Cave 1 for about a month when things got buggy toward the end of a two-month section hike of the AT. The combination works well if you pit the Cave high enough. Otherwise, the Nest is difficult to keep away from your body, which means biting insects can still bit through the mesh.
I like the intelligent, simple design. I do have a tear to fix at the access point. You have to be more careful than I was to get the benefit both of the weight savings and the bug-proofing -- this thing is fragile. But that's the trade off for a really light compact netting.
