at EMS Summary: We really love this tent, we have used it in massive thunder/wind storms, car camping, backpacking, and have NEVER gotten wet, plus with the rainfly on it stays pretty warm inside.

at REI in 1998 Summary: I purchased the Streamside 2 as the Creekside 2 from REI on a special offer. It has aluminum poles. After a couple of years, I purchased a Riverbend fly, which has photochromatic windows and a chimney vent. I disagree with some of the review comments from other reviewers. This tent is about 6 lbs., which is about typical for this size and price range tent. While some complained about the size, the shape of the tent allows for more room in the shoulder area. It is ample room for serious backpackers or paddlers. Also, one reviewer commented that the fly was too high and airflow took heat right out the tent. That is the point! It's a 3 season tent. It is designed to ventilate well, and having had many tents and hammocks, this tent ventilates very well. Regarding the comment that you have to unstake one side of the vestibule to exit...you only have to stake one side...period. You just pick which side you want to open or have as a window and stake the other. My only complaints with this tent are that to have a high head room, the fly is relatively flat and rain drops sound like a drum, and the battened down nature of it doesn't allow for much visibibility. But it would take quite a storm and keep you dry, and air flows quite well up under the fly and into the tent in a summer storm, helping to keep you cool. The construction is solid, the black netting allows excellent visibility, and it is a great tent for the money. Customer Service: I've had very good experience with customer service, and the company which acts as their equipment vender for replacement or upgrade items. Similar Products Used: I've used the Eureka Tiberline tent, several dome style tents, and several camping hammocks. I haven't used a tent exactly like this one previously.

at outdoorsmans guide Summary: i first bought this about 3 years ago. the smaller areatakes a little getting used to, but besides that, it's great. i've used this tent with and without rainfly. i've used it on river trips in canoes and kayaks as well as on backpacking trips with two people or just myself. the only part i dislike is the weith, but that can be dealt with. going on small camping trips with a larger group, i will sleep in this instead of a big dome ten. it's nice and private. it holds up great in wind and rain, i've used it in turrential rain and it was great. i love the ease in setting it up. definetly a recomendation for novices or higher level hikers. Customer Service: none Similar Products Used: none but the north face pebble has a similar design, different vestibule.

at copeland sports Summary: Good tent overall. I've had it for a year and spent several nights in the rain with no moisture getting in. Experienced extreme winds in Colorado and the poles would bend down near my face, but then snap right back up and there was no damage. I love the mesh ceiling and the unique design. My only complaints are it is a little heavy and there is not a whole lot of room for two peoples gear under the vestibule. It is a great deal for the price though. Customer Service: I had a pole crack because of a friend bending it too far :( but they fixed it at no charge and no hassle. Similar Products Used: Coleman
