Summary:
I have the standard fabric Outland. At 6'4" I just fit inside, with some room for additional gear. Vestibule is somewhat small for winter use. Later versions added a large hooped vestibule. Very taut pitch, and excels under pressure. Ideal tent for camping in exposed terrain. Heavy waterproof coatings and full coverage fly translate into excellent weather resistance, but can cause excessive condensation in summer. Tent is heavy for one person, approaching 6 lbs., but the Outland is ideal for situations when really heavy weather is expected (kayak camping on windy offshore islands, winter in the Presidential range, etc.) You can still find these tents on E-Bay, and they remain a worthy addition to the soloist's arsenal.

Summary:
I've had this tent since 2000 when MSR took over Moss and this was a clearance item at MEC. This tent has never let me down. It can get some condensation build-up in it if the fly isn't pegged out properly. It is listed as a 1 man here, but really it is a two man, if you're willing to share. The vestible is small, and is only good for boots and a few soggly clothes, but not big enough for a pack. The tent is very reliable and keeps me warm and dry in the rainiest, windiest, even some snowy conditions.

Summary:
Great one-person tent; too bad it's discontinued. I've used it often in the Rockies and have always been dry. Plenty of room for gear. An ideal tent for warm weather, but it'll work when it's miserable out too. On one summer trip the temperature was in the low 30s every night, rain and sleet, and I stayed warm. Like all pre-MSR Moss tents it's on the heavy side.

Summary:
I've had a Netting Outland for 10 years now and love it. It is a great one man tent for 3 season conditions. It is very weather proof and easy to set up.
Only now, after ten years am I getting some leakage at the seams as the seam seal is wearing off and some floor leakage because I've never used a ground cloth. Both problems are to be expected and easily rectified.
I love this tent and can easily recommend it, but I think it's been discontinued.
