Summary:
my outdoor's need for a solid and diverce condidtion tent was apparent as my spring is spent in Australia (60-85) and my winters in C.O or M.T (burrr! cold) The moss 2 man, 4 season onsombel suited my needs almost to a tee. The mid season adventures in oz were warm and wet and the waterproof fly was invaluable. although the ventaliation is sometimes lacking (with fly) on hotter nights.
the warmth, snow capabilites and wind sheer protection were quite remarkable in sub freezing conditions of MT in mid winter.
one brisk but sunny morning after a night blizzard, my girlfriend and i woke to 2 & 3/4 feet of snow blown up the wall of the windward face, and 6 inches in the crest of the tent. we were ablivous to the fact but pleasently supprised with the tent capabilites.
this tent is more suited to colder conditions of the mountaineer's needs, not the day or car camper, just for functionality purposes.

Customer Service:
In a rush to pack after drying my tent i mispacked my tent poles, leaving them at a quiet camping ground. fugiring them gone for ever, i call the 1800 customer service. within two days i had new poles shipped to a camping shop in bishop, C.A. then on my return home my old lost poles were in my mail. the ranger forwarded them to the address on the voluntary camping fee payment slip. i was stocked. i knew thoses boxes were useful. :)

Summary:
I headed out last december 13 to play around on Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park and got stuck at the boulder field because of an aprouching strom. The tent takes a few minutes
to set up so I would suggest doing a few practice
runs at home to understand how the poles fit into
the sleves, as far as overall review I couldn't
believe that the wind was blowing as hard as it was, 50 mph sustained, and at least 75 mph gusts,
I had no idea while inside the tent.

Customer Service:
Landlords dog took a likeen to it and started chewen holes in the front door, so I sent it
back to Moss in Maine, they replaced the door and
sent it back with in about 3 weeks

Reviewed by: Jeff ,  Backpacker , from New York, NY, USA

Summary:
When purchasing this tent, I was deciding between the Marmot Swallow, Mountain Hardware Nightview, North Face Nebula . I wanted a tent for use in all seasons that could stand up to winter ski touring, but didn't want a 10 lb tent. At about 7 lbs., I thought the Stardome DST was the best compromise. Quality is unmatched. The structure is really durable for a three pole tent. It is a little difficult to set up at first because the main poles cross each other twice. (See the thumbnail picture for the tents section. It's a Stardome) Space is fine, but not really roomy. The only gripe I have is that the vestibule is pretty small for a 4 season tent. This is addressed by the Stardome II, but it's 8 1/2 lbs with a hooped vestibule.

Customer Service:
I called customer service to inquire about placement for guylines and thought initially that I was missing hardware for this. Customer Service sent some additional hardware right away.
