Price Paid:  $0.00 at Galyan's

Summary:
I've wned this tent for about 5 years now.
Unfortunately this tent is no longer in production because I would buy another. I have had few problems with it. A very minor leaks near the corner by the door. I suspect that edge is usually in a low point and normally has no tent liner under it when I set it up. It withstood a hard rainstorm with high winds in the plains of Iowa. It is annoyingly breezy at times, but that can be controlled by a small piece of plastic covering the top most vent. It also easily withstood about four inches of wet snow without problem. I think Walrus referred to this as a four seasons tent. I think it is much too light and well ventilated for any camping below freezing, but a larger tarp under the rain fly provides adequete insulation. Too bad Walrus is no longer around. The company has been bought by MSI, but they don't manufacture anything like this tent.

Summary:
I have had this tent for 18 months. Mostly camping within easy distance of the car. It has weathered thunderstorms in Texas and Colorado and never leaked or become unstable. Build quality seems good Bought for 225 plus 30 for the footprint.

Customer Service:
No problems with the tent--no experience with customer service.

Reviewed by: Steve Bell ,  Backpacker , from Fairfax VA, USA

Summary:
I got a great deal on the Mountain 360/4, so my value rating is based on the list price. It is a very well made and roomy tent. It is a little on the heavy side (close to 10 pounds if you include the vestibule, and the large footprint makes finding backcountry campsites difficulty at times. It is very sturdy and withstands wind well, and is incredibly easy to set-up.
