Summary: This pair of boots was comfortable from day 1. There was no break-in time. Never had a blister, and stayed waterproof. Great support for the ankle. Don't have anything bad to say about it. Suitable for mid to heavy trekking.

Summary: Purchased these boots from the clearance shelves at EMS two years ago. There was no break-in time, they were comfortable from the first time that I put them on. We went backpacking along the Appalachian Trail for a week that August, going thru small streams and mud up to the top of my boot. My feet stayed dry and blister free. The boots have held up well. I'm planning on using them this year when we return to hike the Appalachian Trail again. I recommend them for light-mid backpacking.
