These are a basic crampon. I am not thrilled with the lashing system as it is time consuming. Once it is done it holds well. On the plus side they can be used with a variety of boot styles.

This is the first set of crampons I have ever used and I think they are great for general mountaineering use. They don't come as sharp as other crampons so if you want you can sharpen them with a file. I have used them on several trips. I traversed the Presidentials in January and they stuck to the ice and my feet never got sore. It is a great crampon for general mountaineering and for the money!
