Summary:
I wanted a simple rapidfix crampon for snowfields, and one that would fit one a both my and my wife's (or a friends) boot. I rejected the Grivel G10 because the large plastic toe section didn't fit well and is, well, too plastic. The ecrin does the job, is easy to put on, doesn't ball up much. I like the fact that you can adjust it from semi-rigid to hinged for glacier walking, though you have to move a screw, scary -carry a spare or two. it also slides together nice and compact. A good 10 pointer.
