The tool is solid and a good weight. I am able to achieve solid placements with minimal damage to the ice. However, the droop is steep and requires a good flick of the wrist to set. I am 6'-3 and might prefer a slightly longer shaft. I also prefer the bent shaft for clearing buldges (however I have not used the bent shaft). The leash is an annoying color and somewhat painful because of the plastic covering. In summary, I am satisfied with the performance of this tool but I would prefer the bent shaft and I will be buying a new leash. Similar Products Used:
