at IME, NH Summary: I have been using a pair of the straight shafted carbon fiber black prophets for the last three years and I love them. On technical terrain I found them incredibly precise. The pick is great giving a secure hold and easy cleaning. In an alpine setting these tools really prove their worth. Light weight, straight shafted, and an excellent adze. For technical use in an alpine setting I couldn't imagine a better tool. Oh, and if you can find them they are generally very cheap since they are considered and "older" model. Customer Service: I have not needed them yet. Similar Products Used: None

at Mountain Gear Summary: These are getting to be pretty hard to find as they are phased out. I got them on sale, but I definately don't think I'm sacraficing quality for price. Most people go for the sleeker carbon fiber option of the Cobra, but I feel that these work very nicely. They've been rated highly in most every test conducted. I used them on vertical ice at vail, and for steep mountaineering on miscellaneous 14ers. I never had a complaint. They sink into the ice solidly, and feel good. If your looking for a damn fine carbon tool, but can't aford the primo models, this is a great option if you can find it around. Similar Products Used: None

, from Estes Park, CO Summary: Having a pair of CFBP's has been the greatest addition to my climbing gear. The Prophets have an easy, gently swing, and are a wonderfully balanced tool. The curved shaft allows knuckle clearance especially when swinging over a bulge. The tools are light weight and very durable. Most of all, the tools just feel good in hand and have a phenomenal swing. A very pricey tool no doubt, but worth every penny!! Similar Products Used: Simond Naja, Grivel Rambo, BD Cobra
