Summary:
I have a Charlet Moser Quasars compacts and I use ita as a back up. They are very lite in weight which I find a down fall in this tool.I think this because you get tons of bounce with every swing unless you are hooking. All I can really say is demo many different pairs of axes and find the best for you.

Summary:
Love'em. A bit heavy, but the best tool for steep ice. Stickls and hooks amazingly well. The first day i used a pair my climbing went up an entire grade. Would not recopmmend them for long alpine climbs, just too heavy.
