at Ramsey Outdoor Summary: A fine mountaineering boot. After many miles and vertical feet I did blow out the plastic eyelets on one of the liners. I tried to fix the liners by punching through new grommets. They held for Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood but have since let go.
Here's where the story gets better though. See comments under customer service... Customer Service: After heavy use the liner eyelets let go as previously stated. I been using these boots for all of my winter and glacier experiences since '96. I just sent the boots back to Koflach two weeks ago to see if they could repair the liner or replace the liner if need be. Well I'm here to tell you that they just replaced my heavily used boots with brand spankin new ones. I am floored. I've never got this kind of customer service anywhere for anything. I actually feel guilty about the whole thing, however I will keep the new boots -- Koflach Degre. I'm sure these are their current entry level boot, but look at me - do I care? He** NO!!! I am psyched!!! Now if it would just snow over here in Jersey, I could really put 'em to use. Similar Products Used: None

, from winooski, vt Summary: Recieved these boots from a kind friend. First pair of mtnr. boots I've used. They had been used a few? times by previous owner. Koflach are the s***. I have flat feet and they did float a bit on me (raw feet after 10 mi of trailblaizing) but overall they are very functional. I like the flex. Kept me warm. Similar Products Used: None

, from Littleton Co, USA Summary: Nice Boots for the price. The liners have started to wear out near the heel after a year of use. But they are great for anything in the lower 48 so far. They could use a little more rocker sole to make walking easier Similar Products Used: 1st plastic boots

, from Vancouver, B.C. Summary: I also have a Asolo carbon frame pair which I use for more demanding stuff, but most of the time I just like the old, good Viva Soft. Light, warm in its class. The thing I like the most about these boots, is the almost complete lack of foot arch, which is excellent for my flat feet (Asolo has a high arch, and I always get painful blisters after a couple of hours). If you have flat foot, you want something like this boot.
