Mountaineer
, from Surrey, UK Summary: I agree with the coments made in the first review- Boukereev is a true and humble hero, where as Krakauer is one-sides and after self gratification. He seems to try to reduce the blame he has faced for incorrectly reporting climbers back safely. Some of his other books have displayed similar characteristics and one must consider his motivation for writing some pieces. Similar Products Used: None

Mountaineer
, from Irvine, CA Summary: Krakauer, though I appreciate his writing, tends to be very one sided. Check out the book Burokeev(spelled correctly?) wrote- called "The Climb." Similar Products Used: None

at www.Blackstar.co.uk Summary: Doesn't do the excellent book much justice. A lot of detail is left out, especially the background stuff, and the mountain scenes are not very convincing. It really is a TV production and the low-budget quality shows - which is very different from bigger productions like "K2". If you've only seen this movie, go get the book, which will fill in a lot of the blanks. Similar Products Used: "K2"
