Price Paid:  $75.00 at my neighbor!

Summary:
I bought my Dagger Bayou 2 from my neighbor who had it leaning against his house. It is in great condition with very little scratches. I have had this thing out 4 times and I love it. It tracks well and can haul ass if your fellow paddler can sync with you! Two people and a 60 pound dog found it to be a comfortable ride on the lake. When getting in and out on the water, I found it to be very stable and not that "tippy". At 14ft long, and who knows how much it weighs, it is a bit difficult for me (a girl) to lift it on my truck, but I do it!! Overall nice boat!!

Price Paid:  $650.00 at Scheels

Summary:
I just bought two Dagger Bayou II kayaks to use with my wife and two young sons. I think the Bayou II is an excellent first kayak for families trying to get started. The tracking is ok, but proper paddling skills will take care of it. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room. I do take it out solo quite a bit on local lakes and rivers. It is a very serene boat. Very fun, but don't expect a lot of speed. It is definitely a boat that is meant to meander in. Take your time and enjoy the scenery. I wish it had a stern hatch in it for day gear. There is plenty of room behind the back seat. A skeg would be nice too.

Price Paid:  $325.00 at Mountain Miser

Summary:
After a weekend trip to camp and mountain bike in the Salida/Poncha Springs area, and stumbling accross some sweet little (about 10-15 surface acre) lakes, I decided to buy a kayak. The idea of having another activity, and another toy,
seemed like a good one. After some research, I decided to look for a tandem boat, something my wife and 8 yr. old daughter could enjoy also. Besides, I ride some pretty sick stuff on my bike, but white water didn't seem like a good place for a beginner.
More research lead me to Dagger, and specifically to this boat. I just happened to find a demo boat, a used Werner Mid Tour paddle, and at a great price. $325 for the boat and $85 for the paddle.
I have had it out 4 times already, and it is perfect. It is very stable, tracks well, and is easy to paddle, even when I'm the only one paddling. I also like the adjustable front seat fo solo trips, and there is plenty of room and capacity for all my gear. Camping on the far side of a lake away from everyone else is very nice. About the only thing I haven't tried to put in it is my bike, and it very well might fit.
The boat has already stood up to demo use, so I have no doubt as to it's durability. Even so, it's nice to know that the material used can be repaired.
All in all a great boat for it's intended purpose. It turns a bit slow until you get the hang of paddling in unison , and don't expect it to be a creek boat. Just great fun and a great way to discover new places.

Customer Service:
The shop was very helpful. Haven''t had any problems, but went to order accessories and Dagger directed me back to the dealer. I couldn''t buy from them direct on their website.
