After taking a kayaking course and falling in love with the sport, I purchased the ARC based on the recommendation of the salesperson. What a mistake. I went to a Kayaking Camp at NOC (highly recommend) and thanks to the ARC, I nearly gave up the sport.
The design of the ARC makes it very unstable. The stern is VERY prone to being caught by any type of current and quickly causing you to flip. At first I thought it was just me. At one play hole, I had on of the instructors that happened to be on the Perception Kayak Team at the time, try it out. He really struggled with the boat and after about 5 minutes gave it back. He confirmed that the boat was really squirrely and unstable.
