As far as big water boats go the Rockit is a great boat for just that. It boofs very well and has the right amount of volume to bring you back to the top. This boat is simply a creek/big water boat nothing more or less. It has a rounded hull that makes plaining very difficult. So if you are starting out and want a versitile boat to both play and run rivers in this is not the boat for you. If your looking at a steep drop or some fours and fives this is a great perfomer.
