Paddler
, from Quebec, Canada
Price Paid:
$800.00 Summary: This boat do all that it suppose to. Surf verrry well and enough stable in big water. I'm 6"3 180 lbs and feel very confortable in it. After a whole day without exit, i'm not tired to be in it, but i'm tired to paddle! The only thing is missing, is the vertical moves, but I knew that before to buy it! That's a great boat. Day Hiker
, from Lansing MI Summary: If you are a "bigger" person, and in the market for an all around boat this is it. I'm new to this sport, but I find this boat is GREAT on any type of water I take it on (Creeky stuff to Big water). While the edges took me half a day to get used to...I now enjoy the crispness (on the wave, eddy turns or down river). Xytec (Riots Propriortory plastic) has held up equal to my old cross-link, and better than a friends linear plastic kayak. Initially, I had a problem adjusting the device seat, but Riot quickly corrected the problem. Customer Service: Excellent, prompt service. Similar Products Used: Wavesport Z, WS Godzilla, In-A-Zone 240.

Day Hiker
, from Jackson, WY, USA Summary: Okay. . .this was my first kayak, but I've already got the feeling that it's going to be something I can use for years to come (assuming that it lasts that long). Yeah, like somebody else mentioned on another Riot review. . . the plastic is very soft, and scratches up easily. It spins very easily. . .now it drives me crazy, but I'm guessing as I get better it'll be something I'll want in a boat. It's very easy to get the bow up on it. . . I don't have enough skill yet to get the stern up. I haven't hit any big water, but I'm guessing that's where it'll excel. It's a great kayak for the bigger paddler (I'm 6'6"), or somebody looking to do some big waves. Straight up, it's VERY comfortable, and very easy to paddle. My first day down the river in it, I was surfing (had a little trouble leaving the eddys though). Being as tall as I am it was hard to find a good fitting play boat. A little more leg room than the WaveSport Z, not too long like the RPM Max (That was WAY too long for doing anything in). I got amazingly lucky on a deal for a new one. . .but think if I paid the full retail, it would still be worth it. Customer Service: No experience with them directly, but the team members were very helpful when I wanted to sit in one of the boats on their bus (had to pull down five boats to get one down for me to sit in).
