Lotus Designs Locean PFDs

Lotus Designs Locean PFDs

DESCRIPTION

The Locean is intensive care for the sea kayaker. We've taken our popular Lola design and rigged it specifically for paddlers in those sleek ocean-going craft. Although the Locean is built with a woman's physique in mind, the low-profile design and easy adjustability make it a good choice for either gender.

Strength:

I have never had a issue with any of my legacy that I would call a defect. The bases have taken rail after rail, & rock after rock with no issue. The only problem I ever had was cracking the edges, but that is a result of hard landings on metal hand rails, Arlington truck brake service

Weakness:

None . .

The Locean is simply the best PFD around. If you paddle a skinny boat and have a low angle paddle stoke this is the optimum PFD for you, it's truly the best out there.

Customer Service

Patagonia has stood behing their products for as long as I've dealt with them, and that's been around 20 years or so.
VERY IMPORTANT: THIS SITE SHOWS A RED LOLA AS A LOCEAN. Go to the Patagonia website to see what one really looks like. Lotus has not altered their designs significantly and anyone who represents that they have are full of it.

Folks, this is one of the top rated PFD's out there, and for good reason. It is the same exact thing as the Lola, but with 2 secure pockets and reflective strips. The triple panel front makes for a very conforming fit, much better than the Rio Grande I was looking at. It is supremely adjustable with no slack anywhere once set. The pockets are fantastic for storing things like cameras or other goodies for that day long trip.

Customer Service

None yet, and don't anticipate any problems.

The best ever. Just like they claim, it really is the best that I've ever worn, the most comfy in all situations, the best fit, the best design...just about everything. If you're a long-distance sea-yakker, hen this is the PFD: no getting in the way while paddling. Our last real long paddle was from the Chatham Islands NZ to the International Date Line, a marathon stay-awake session and the Locean performed flawlessly and I've tried everthing. My second pick would be the Lola.

Customer Service

Patagonia, like other responsible, friendly and environmentally involved companies like Marmot and Sequel, have been around forever. The folks at Patagonia took good care of us.
