at Ibex Summary: I have last year's version of the Guide pants & they rule! The Skifans material is comfortable with plenty of stretch for tele, ice climbing & all other backcountry pursuits. The pants have an incredible temperature comfort range, from late fall to the deep freeze of winter. In really gnarly conditions, I'll wear midweight underwear and I've been comfy to -40. They have excellent wind, rain & snow resistance. I've eliminated carrying shell pants on all but the worst alpine conditions. Customer Service: Customer service is fantastic - you get the kind of personalized attention that few places offer these days.
I've liked the pants so much that I've put in an order for the icefall jacket Similar Products Used: Mammut, TNF, Patagonia. All these products use Schoeller fabric & they all worked well. I just found that the warmer Skifans Ibex pants were best suited to winter/cooler conditions.

at Ibex Summary: Great! I've been using Schoeller pants for years and finally someone made a pair beefy enough to hold up to every imaginable condition. The heavier Skifans fabric and internal gaiters guarantee serious all weather protection. These pants can take it all and then some, virtually eliminating the need for boardy, half-breathable shell pants. Customer Service: Super nice on the phone. Similar Products Used: Mammut, Patagonia
