at RidgeRunner Sports Summary: I have been very impressed with the Asics Brand overall and the GT-1050 lives up to their reputation. I am a heavy runner (205lbs) and run average of 20 miles a week. The shoe is extremely durable, I have thrown them in the wash machine 3-4 times and they have held up. I am an extreme overpronator, so these shoes do not provide enough motion control for me, but if you need a good stability shoe with cushioning, this is it.

, from Cupertino Summary: These shoes are OK. I heard great things about Asic from other runners and triathlon magazines but was relatively dissappointed with the shoes.
I bought them for around $80 when my Nike Air Triax started wearing out. They seemed to be comfortable when I tried them on in the store but when I took them out and started putting some miles on them they were less comfortable than the Nikes. They felt a little awkward on my feet like there was too much surface areas on the soles or something.
They also felt like they were heavier than the Nikes.
They turned into my shoes to hang out in rather than run in. My next pair of running shoes will be Nike. Customer Service: n/a Similar Products Used: Nike Air Triax

, from burlingame Summary: Love these shoes. They are very comfortable and lite. I haven't been a runner for long, or at least I haven't enjoyed for long, but I do enjoy running in my asics. I tend to pronate a little, while these aren't specifically made to compensate pronation, they do give me plenty of support. Running in comfort is my main concern when chosing a shoe, but style definitely is a factor and I like the design of the asics line. I've owned a pair in the past and the only reason I'm moving to another pair is due to that fact that i've run out of sole on the old. These are built to last. Similar Products Used: Asics Gel-140, Nike (didn't like them).
