Summary:
I'm a marathon runner and have become addicted to the Brooks Addiction. I wear both the women's wide or the men's regular (which are the same width), and my orthotics fit well in them. I'm on my 3rd pair of these and have a pair of Brooks Trail Addictions too, for trail running, although I'm not as fond of those.

I have pretty flat feet/overpronate, and they have great motion control with not as much bulk and weight as the Brooks Beast/Ariel, which are monsters for shoes. This is one of the top-selling running shoes out there, for the company and for the running shoe market in general, and there's a reason why Brooks has not changed their formula for their shoe very much over the years. These shoes are designed for heavier runners, which I'm definitely not, but I need the motion control because of how much I overpronate. I've gotten 2 other guys hooked on these shoes too and they're in the heavier weight categroy (170-200 lbs) and fiercely loyal to them as well.

Similar Products Used:
New Balance 855 (hurt my feet, made my toenails fall off - not as good toe box volume), Nike Durham Plus (decent motion control, more lightweight & breathable, but not as durable).

Price Paid:  $80.00

Summary:
I have slightly wide feet, plus narrow heels that have slipped out of every running/hiking shoe imaginable - until a salesman introduced me to the Brooks Addiction. In the last four years, I haven't worn anything else for walks, runs, or short hikes. Order a half-size or size up, because they fit a bit small. My only complaint - and a minor one for me - is that Brooks doesn't seem interested in jazzing up styles for customers who may want some more flash on their feet.
