The fact is, Carlisle made the Voodoo's blade with a dihedral, cross-sectional shape. In each forward stroke, water builds up on the face of your blade. The dihedral shape (curved plane) gives the water a smooth flow path, so instead of the typical fluttering, you get a smooth, easy stroke. The fiberglass shaft and thin nylon blades keep the Voodoo Paddle nice and light.
