Summary:
Good rod to 75 feet in most conditions. Not a lot of extra punch when you need a long cast in the wind. It is a little soft when you really try to get it to pop. NOT A CANNON, but a pretty good rod if you don't try to cast large wind resistant flies into a stiff wind. There are better choices for this sort of casting.

The rod excels at fighting fish, I did manage to crack a ferrule in a 25 lb salmon, and the rod held up for the remainder of the trip despite the crack!

Customer Service:
Excellent service if you don't mind coughing up the $50 fee for repair plus the $25 for shipping. Redington is much better about warranty work frankly.

Summary:
In a word this rod is "SLOW" If you fly fish in salt water you have to deal with the wind and it will spank you with this rod. One would be better served with a faster rod on the flats. The Sage RPLXI is my $495 back-up rod & thats a shame because they made a great rod in the RPLX it was hot!

Customer Service:
never had any dealings with them

Summary:
Exceptional rod. As of yet only used it for local bass fishing & a trip to England where she handled the rainbows with ease. Have plans to be in the Florida Panhandle in September to put her through her paces!!!

Customer Service:
Not needed.

Summary:
I am very tough and demanding on equipment and I have never had any problems out of my Sage rods. I have used this rod to fish for carp, bass, steelhead, ladyfish, and redfish and I think this is really an excellent, well built rod. My only complaint is that doesn't load well in short distances. But I realize that every rod can't do everyhting.

Customer Service:
None needed

Summary:
Best damn medium weight rod I've ever thrown! It's my favorite, most frequently fished rod.

Customer Service:
Exceptional -- no questions asked, lifetime warranty! Break a rod tip? No problem. Sage will fix it or replace it. Sage's service is equivalent to Penn's service.
