Cabelas Dry-Plus Breathable Waders Review

Cabelas Dry-Plus Breathable

Description
The amazing performance properties of Cabela’s Dry Plus material allows for a complete waterproof barrier, yet the micro-porous construction promotes breathability – even under water. Triple-knee construction incorporates a neoprene knee pad for added protection.

Summary:
Cabelas Premium Dry Plus Stocking Foot Waders. It was great the first few times in the water but then started leaking along the seams of the neoprene foot. Although I have had it now for 3 years, I had mentioned this problem to Cabelas early on but did not get a satisfactory response as to backing up this product. 3 years later, all the seams of the neoprene are sealed with the urethane sealant and am still having problems. I just contacted Cabelas to complain. I ended up leaving a msg with their Retail Dept who are suppose to call me back. I will update later with results of their serice.

Customer Service:
If they replace this wader at no cost, I will continue shopping at Cabelas. Otherwise, its LLBean for no hassle exchanges.

Similar Products Used:
Hodgman breathables. Not as durable.

Summary:
These waders leaked THE VERY FIRST DAY on the water along the seams at the knees.

Customer Service:
They were nice enough to refund the waders and the shipping.

Similar Products Used:
I recommend Simms. They're pricey but the freestone waders are a good investment.

Summary:
Bought a pair of Dry Plus waders in February 2004 its May now used them 7 maybe 8 times they leak. Fished with a friend who bought a pair a year ago I watched him ring out his socks all day. They should call them Wet Plus. I am very disapointed with these waders.

Customer Service:
Dealing with them now they seem okay.

Summary:
After just returning the 5th pair to Cabelas, I decided to get a refund. The first 4 pairs leaked, this one the material began delaminating just behind the knees after 4 months of fishing - that's about 25 trips to the river for me. I just don't think Cabelas has the vendors to produce a legitimately competitive product, and anyone serious about their fishing might be well-advised to look elsewhere - although Cabelas is a good source for a lot of other necessities for the sport.

Customer Service:
On balance, good....although I didn''t like being charged for an additional pair while the first was being replaced. They did credit my card once they had received the leaky pair, but after all that

None. This was my first go-round with breathables.
