Summary:
If you are looking for the last pair of fishing pliers you are ever going need/own Van Stalls are it. Titanium makes them a truly rust free plier in a salt water environment. Also supplied is a top guality coiled lanyard and a form fit leather sheath. For surfcasting I use a nylon sheath but the leather one is great for the boat. Once you get over the sticker price of these pliers, you'll love them. The price will also encourage you look after them.

Summary:
I have owned several fishing pliers and have now invested in what can only be described as a product of the finest quality. It not only looks good on my hip (getting lots of jealous looks) but lives up to it's claims and expectations. The artistic anodizing is superb and the jaws' grip is phenomenal, the cutter easily handles braided line, thin monofilament or thick tippet/wire material. If you want a tool to accompany on all your fishing journeys, this is the one!!!

Summary:
Fantastic product. The price is a bit high, but worth it considering the quality. If you tend to buy cheap cutters/pliars because you lose them, buy the lanyard for the V'Stalls. These cut through heavy wire like it is mono and can retreive hooks out of the most stubborn of fishes. I use VS fly and spinning reels as well and these are the same quality I expect from Van Staal.
