Summary: This review is on the new model m.5 superlite reel at 3.5 oz.This reel is a steal, fit, finish, weight, drag, and it replaces a galvan ob-2.not to say the galvan was a bad reel, just too heavy compared to this same size reel.Finish is nicer than the galvan i had also. The frame is narrower than the galvan also which helps reduce overall weight.

Summary: I am reviewing the LM 1.What a nice little reel. I have two of them and they have both performed fautlessly. It's price wise about half way up the ladder to the big boys and from my point of view the law of diminishing returns is coming on real strong at the $200 to $250 level. It looks very well made and performs as such. Outstanding drag-smooth from start to scream, plus its adjustable from the cranking side. No more reaching over or under your reel hand to change. The down side is that care must be taken to avoid the spinning handle and counterweight. I don't think it can be done with the LM 1 if you had gloves on. Now for me the best part. You can make the reel almost noiseless. Not a "click" in or out. When your are in the "grove" and need a little more line its just there without the mechanical New Years noise maker breaking the moment. Likewise the retrieve with fish on or the end of the day concludes with a whisper.

Summary: Purchased the LM3 for my 6wt for a trip to Belize. Absolutely love the reel. Light, low maintenance, simple. Landed a baby tarpon, dozens of bonefish with one over 5 lbs. Excellent drag with no problems thus far.

Summary: I hav an LM2 Superlite Series reel. I was quite impressed with the very smooth drag. The finish is very durrable and is still holding up after dropping it on the rock a few hundred times. It's light weight combined with it's durability makes this a desirable large arbor. reel.
