Backpacker
, from MA Summary: I bought this bag last summer and so far it has performed great. The coldest I've used it is low 20's but it was zipped with my girlfriends bag (REI 0) so it wasn't as efficent (too much space) but still plenty warm.
This bag is loaded with all the niceities: antisnag locking zipper, pillow pocket, compression sack, insulated draft coller, and different drawcords for the hood. The zippered pocket on the chest is great for lip balm and contacts. The blend of Polarguard HV and 3D is loftier and more durable than a pure 3D bag, but lighter and more compressible than a pure HV bag. A great compromise. The "Z" baffels do a great job of eliminating cold spots and promoting loft and the taper fits me perfect.
Overall a great bag at an awesome price. Pretty much sums up all the stuff from REI. Customer Service: REI's customer service is top notch. They stand behind everything they sell to preform as expected. The knowledgeable, no pressure sales staff is also excellent. Similar Products Used: Wiggy Superlight - no draft collar The North Face Cat's Meow - cold! Sierra Designs Sandman - drafty hood Kelty Clear Creek - very cold!
