Got my Wiggy a few months ago. I have been out in some very cold conditions,(below zero), and although it rates to zero, this bag is toasty warm. I have used it several times without any other shelter and I have stayed warm. The lamilite really does work! It is bulkier than I wanted, but with a compression sack,it is fine. The construction and zipper in this thing are the best I have seen. The thing I like about this is by buying another of the Wiggy's products, I can make this bag warmer for those elevations above 20,000. I saw the product in Alaska magazine, read reviews here, and stopped into a store while visitng my son at college. They only had Wiggy's bags. Since I froze my ass off this past August at 11,000 on Mt Rainier, I decided I needed something warmer - this defintely has fit the bill!

I have been using this bag for over a year in Alaska and have no complaints. I even bought one for my son this year. I bought the overbag and use it for summer camping down to about 30. I have used it in below zero temps without complaint. I have yet to need to put the overbag on for really cold temps. I usually sleep warm and often leave the zipper open to keep from over heating. It is very compressable for a synthetic and the loft has always returned when I fluff it up.

I have never needed it. The salesman who took my order (Wiggy) was very helpful. A word of caution though. He holds strong opinions and is too willing to share them!

Usually I don't write reviews unless a piece of equipment is very good or very bad (as in dangerous). The Superlight falls in the very good category. I have three of them--the first purchased in '85 or '86 and used by myself and several of my kids and the other two purchased about 5 years ago that my wife and I have used every year, all year round. I've owned down bags that were great as long as they were dry but nothing has matched the superlights wet or dry. They are durable, washable, and I've stored one for as long as 6 mos in a very tight compression sack without loss of loft. I love the zippers which have so far been bomb proof. Negatives: They're a little on the bulky side.

Never have had a complaint with the bags. The factory has always been helpful when ordering. I did call them to see if it was ok to compression pack the first one I owned. The person answering the phone asked several questions about what I meant by "compressing" the bag, then said they'd check to see if it was ok. I could hear someone laughing in the background then the person reported back that it would be ok.

I have had this bag over a year now. Best bag I ever bought. Warmer then My slumberjack 0 degree by about 15 degrees. I slept warm last winter when the temps hit -7 and didnt even notice a chill. Not bad since I hate sleeping cold. Been washed 3 times and loft always returns. If I ever need a warmer bag I will by wiggys again

I was a bit parinoid about buying a new bag, and had checked all the usual bag outlets/brands. I learned the hard way that temp ratings, in particular mean nothing, as there is no standard. My last mistake was a Woods bag, rated for 25 degrees that you could see through, if held to the light. Then I happened upon Wiggy''s site. I was impressed, and ordered one. Simple, effective, and as advertized. All the pretty colors and gee-whiz features of many other bags don''t mean much on a cold, rainy night in a leaky tent. He suggested putting it in the washing machine after each camping trip, so I did. I was amazed that after the spin cycle, it was dry, except for the shell! It won''t absorb water. I''m warm and happy now, and I sure hope Wiggy is still around when I need another bag (it''ll be a long time)....

Nice light sleeping bag for a good price. I found it to be extremely warm even when in below zero temperatures. I was in Alaska, and the bag was warm, and didn't absorb much moisture. It's not heavy, so I didn't have a problem hauling it around.

i have used a ftrss/superlight combo bag for over two years now. i have used the ftrss in several winter environment situations, including a one-week trip to camp hale, co, in february. the average nightly temperature during that trip was -30 F. there was quite a bit of condensation on the outside of my bag every morning; i was nothing but dry and warm inside. the superlight by itself is a great spring/summer bag. i have used it by itself in the 10-20 F range. not sure of it's rating, but it performed quite well. the bags are tough, too. there has been no loss of loft since i first got them.

I have onwned my wiggy bag for over 7 years. I have not alway been happy with it, and find that it has lost some loft over time. I say this because my wife has the same bag and it is definitely loftier than mine. Over all it has been a good bag for 3 seasons. In the winter and late fall I add an inner bag and an over bag which really increases the warmth ratio. I have been quite pleased with its durability, and its stuffability, but not with its recommended temperature rating. For the weight, and cost it has served me well.

I have spoken with their customer service a couple of times about the loft and each time I have received the same answer. Wash the bag and see it that helps. I have done as instructed both times, and the loft has not changed much.

Ole wiggy has kept me warm and extremely comfortable for about 4 years. I love it. i would highley recommend this bag to any serious backpacker or adventure pursuist. Plus there is a bonus... it comes with a pillow. How sweet is that.
