Summary:
These poles are great poles because they have anti-shock, cork handle, and they fold up to be small. I will say that one of my poles split at the last section of the pole and I had to replace that piece of the pole with another hiking pole. I still like the pole a bunch!

Summary:
The carbide tips stick very well to a variety of surfaces, wet or dry. The poles have a sturdy but lightweight feel. The wrist straps are excellent, the best parrt of these poles. The straps are wide, comfortable, and supportive. The negatives are: Even if I tighten down on each section with all my strength, the poles sometimes still twist loose. Also, these poles have been discontinued.

Summary:
First poles I have ever used and they seem to be very sturdy poles. It is a twist lock and took me a few minutes to become adjusted to them. Has a twist lock on/off shock absorber. Very firm shock absorber which is a plus for me. I don't want it bouncing around too much. I have placed my full 200 lbs on each pole and they seem to be very sturdy. On sale for $59. Just type in Garmont on Yahoo.
