great bottle on the trail. it's great to be drinking water from the river while your friends are still pumping. i've actually had two over last 5 years-the main problem is the flimsy cap that's guaranteed to break off-but i've enjoyed it enough to get another. |

I have used this bottle/filter on quite a few trips, including through the Alakai swamps on Kauai. It seemed to be a sure bet for water filtration, as everyone that relied on this over the last two years (8 or so people) have not had problems. That is not to say, the water we were filtering was bad in the first place. Similar Products Used: Bota bottle |

I love this bottle. I've had it for about a year, and wish I could have found one several years ago. It might have saved me from amoebas and other critters. It's great to be able to dip into a stream and chug immediately, without messing with hoses and gadgets. The filter adds almost no additional weight and bulk to my pack, since I'd need to be carrying bottles anyway. Water sometimes leaks out of the bottom, especially if the cloth pre-filter is on. Customer Service Part of the cap was broken when I bought it, and the company immediately sent me another. Similar Products Used: None |

This thing works great. I am still alive after hiking the Noland Divide/Noland Creek trails. (See Review). Everything functions as advertised. We used both a regular pump filter and the Safewater Anywhere filter. I ONLY used the Safewater so we will see who lives and who doesn't. 8^).. I would recommend this to anyone who is budget sensitive. It appears to work just as well as a pump filtration system. But, like anything you get what you pay for. Filling a canteen cup or bladder can get a little old (squeezing the bottle), but it was not un-endurable. I would recommend this to anyone needing a in-expensive system for filtering water. I plan on getting an inline filter for my bladder! Similar Products Used: None |

Really pleased with this bottle. Beats having to use and carry the pump. Took it for a week to the Trinity Alps and had no problems. It was nice to not have to carry a full water bottle, since water sources were usually available. The only draw back is the mesh bag, the bottle is a hassle to remove and put back, also it doesn't "hang good". It needs a clip attached. Getting a good gulp by sqeezing the bottle was possible, another type we had you couln't with the small nozzle it had. Similar Products Used: MSR miniworks pump. |
