Day Hiker

These shoes rock! I bought them in 2001 I have had mine for 3 years and and wear them everyday. They barely show wear! They fit my feet great and I reccommend to everyone to buy them. All shoes take time to break them in... DUH it is common sense!

Day Hiker

My husband bought these for me for a gift. We go hiking often and I can not break these in. They cause awful blisters on my heels and are not very well cushioned under my foot. They are very uncomfortable boots. We just returned from camping where I thought I'd give them another shot. About 1 mile into the 12 mile hike I had to remove them and put on my Nike ACG shoes for comfort, risking the ankle support. I do not recommend buying these shoes.

Backpacker

So far, I DON'T like these boots! I've worn them on 2 backpack trips. That's a total of 30 miles. Blisters on the toes, terribly uncomfortable insoles, toes feel crushed in the toe box. I've taken these to a cobbler for stretching. I hope that works. Another backpacker friend of mine has the same exact pair, and she said hers took a year to break in and STILL aren't comfortable. Obviously, I never paid attention to her boots, or I'd never have purchased the same pair. I'm most disappointed about the fact that I owned a pair of Asolo's for 7 years and they were so comfortable, and wore very, very well. The new Asolo's are well constructed, but not comfy like my old ones. I've got the old ones at the cobbler being repaired while they try to stretch and put in new insoles on my new ones. Think twice before buying these boots!!!!
