Day Hiker Summary: I happen to have wide feet therefore most of hiking boots cause a painful experience... That is before I came across Lowa. This particular style has a great support, roomy toe area and a great grip. These boots can almost clime a vertical wall with you in them :) Not sure how protective toe area is from logs and rocks falling on your toes. I simply have not tested this yet. I also do not believe toe is shaped to be pushed between the rocks in light climbing. But it is great for a general low - med difficulty hiking trail. I simply love it!
