I agree with everyone else here. Great starter shoe or a shoe for all day comfort taking the girlfriend to climb 5.5- 5.8 all day. Definitely slips on the tricky stuff unless you NAIL it. For that reason a more technical shoe would serve well for 5.10+.

These are great shoes. Don't give credence to the reviews that compare this shoe to sport climbing shoes... as the Enduro is intended for all day trad and alpine rock stuff. I have found the shoe wonderful on 5.9 face and crack, but I do wish the rubber was stickier for Yosemite granite. At 5.10 face the shoe requires the old school 'precision' edging technique. Actually, I prefer the La Sportiva 'Mega' over the Enduro for Grade IV's and Walls. If the Enduro fits your foot well it will do alot for you.

Good Beginner shoe. Comfortable, and break in well. If you plan on being a recreational climber, a few times a year nothing too serious. Or just love to climb Cracks galore. its worth it. But if you think you'll be doing a lot of climbing of 5.10+ climbs look for something more aggressive.

Good all-around shoe. A little stiff and not quite sticky enough for extreme face routes, but excelent for edging and crack climbing and for all day comfort on long routes this shoe is unsurpassed! Fit has a lot to do with it -I have narrow feet with high arches and the Enduro seems tailored-fit.

My first shoe and I love them. I've climbed all styles of rock and they've done me great. Can't say anything bad and the price is killer.

I've been quite happy with these shoes. I'm a beginner climber, so I don't have a wealth of experience to draw from, but they've gripped well on outside climbs as well as the rock gym. I owned a pair of Boreal Ace's prior to this pair, and was in constant pain--it seems that personal preference has much to do with individual foot/shoe shape. These are cheaper than the Ace's, but fit my foot much better. The ankle support is nice as well. Finally, they've held up well thus far.

The Enduro is a good all round shoe at a low price. They are stiffer than many shoes, so they are not as sensitive for delicate smearing, but work well for edging. The sturdy design, high ankle coverage and heavy duty heel rand make them well suited for crack climbs. I would consider them a good shoe for beginners, and for all day comfort. The price is good, too.

This is my second pair of Enduros. I find them to be the most comfortable pair of climbing shoes I've ever owned. I can wear them all day with great comfort. I'll buy another!

Customer Service

I discovered a slight defect in the workmanship, call the store from which I purchased them and they said to return them no problem...the store is 3 hours away from my home! I e-mailed La Sportiva and they set up a return/exchange very quickly. Good sevice!

I bought these for my first pair of shoes cause I've trusted LaSportiva with hiking boots and their name. The shoe was fine to start, but once I switched to a more contoured, aggressive shoe, I jumped up a grade. The rubber is very stiff and very unsticky. The shoes are built more like hiking boots than climbing shoes. They work well on cracks, but I will never use them for face or indoor climbing again.

I was not very pleases with the shoe. I bought them at a sale from an outdoor retail sale. The only thing that I like is that they have a stiff toe box for good edging.
