Backpacker Summary:
This boat is very nice; the size is adequate for our entire family to travel 6 days; with an additional seat in the middle for the nine and six year old to sit beside each other. For portaging the weight is awesome. On flat water it is very quick and tracks well. We handled some gentle rivers easily; it doesn't turn as quickly as more aggressive boats but was fine for class 1 and minor class 2. The gelcoat is a bit sensitive; it is not a plastic boat and needs some care but I think that is usual for a kevlar boat. This is a great all round family boat; doing some flat water, some portages, some easier rivers. Large, light and reasonably maneuverable.
