Paddler Summary: The CLC 16 is more than worth the $2,300 I paid for it. At only 42 lbs, this far surpasses any fiberglass boat on the market today. The kayak tracks amazingly straight and does not need a rudder!!! Handles great in rough seas, and is nearly impossible to tip (I've only ever seen one guy roll this thing, and he was an expert paddeler with a hightened seat pad). Excellent boat!!! If you can pick one up for $2,000 to $2,400, don't hesitate. Similar Products Used: Penguin Standard 2000 (fiberglass)
Alto 1999 (fiberglass)
Pygmy - several models (wood core)

Day Hiker
, from MA Summary: I bought this boat not too long ago, and have been really impressed with its stablility and the tracking. I think that for the money this is a great boat, and if I ever have the need for another kayak, I'll look at this line again! Customer Service: Very helpful Similar Products Used: Old Town
