Strength:

The Thermo-fit liner is extremely comfortable and molded itself to my foot. At lunch and apres I found that I didn't even loosen my boot latches, while in the past that's the first thing I'd do to ease the pain of my feet. Bottom line: This boot significantly increased the enjoyment of my ski experience. I would recommend soft boots, and this boot in particular, to anyone currently not 100% happy with their current "hard" boots. semi truck repair

As a fairly new kayaker, I originally bought a Dagger GT and took one run down the Nantahala river with it. I hated it; couldn't relax, couldn't control it... I immediately sold it to some guy who was at NOC to buy the same boat, then went in and bought an RPM, which was the best move I could have made. I have never felt anything but comfortable and stable in the RPM, it's super easy to roll, and it's held up like a champ. The only thing I'd change is to upgrade some of the outfitting, but mine's an older model, so what's in it was pretty much state of the art when I bought it. If I was buying now, I'd get a Jackson or something more technical, but after years of paddling a displacement hull boat, I still wouldn't get a pure planing hull. In 2014, there are still tons of these on rivers---for lots of good reasons!

This was my first modern-style boat in 1997 and I´m still paddling it for pleasure. This boat is just fun from WW2 - 5. Two years ago I did the grand Canyon in this boat. Only 3 boaters managed to do this without taking a swim - two of them used an RPM.

I have spent the last two years with an RPM, using for both worh (coaching) and pleasure (Surf, Rivers). During this time it has performed consistantly across a wide range of conditions and situations. From adrenalin fun in the surf to hours spent coaching and teaching, it comes up with the goods.

I first used this boat when beginning to move up in paddling. As opposed to a certain review that says the boat is "crap", I must say the reviewer is full of crap. Great boat for those just learning to roll, surf, squirt, and play. Even advanced paddlers can use this to pull of some good tricks.

An outdated boat that is way over rated. The outfitting is crap compared to everything else on the market, crap seat crap footrest as well. The hull is round and does not have a definate edge, making a begginer guess when they are on edge making it really hard to ferry. It does not carve, becasue it has no edge. It would only appeal to old school boaters looking for a step between the old cigars and the new boats. Do your self a favour get a flat hulled up to date design you will learn easier faster and wont be limited by the boat you have. Also the RPM never worked paddling backwards crap for scouting rapids on the big water it can supposedly handle. Do your self a favour and never buy this boat buy a Mehtod Air instead.

I got this boat to learn on and it has been nothing short of fabulous. Its a great river runner that can do a lot. Great on big drops, and its extremely stable. Doesn''t do a lot of the playboat moves but then again, it wasnt designed too. From what I have heard they are going to stop producing them. Its a real shame, its a classic boat.

Great all around boat. If you can only afford one boat, this is it. Doesn't excel at any one thing, but can do them all well enough. River runs better than any sub 9' playboat but can still play. Rolls really easy.

There is a reason why this is the best selling Kayak on the market right now, it freaking rocks!

If only the decision on what kind of full suspension mountain bike, or other outdoor gear was this easy!

I have been shopping around for a while and rented about half a dozen boats, and none of them come close to the RPM performance wise. Great versatile, do-everything boat. Very stable, rolls easy even with sloppy technique, tracks great and and can surf and squirt pretty well too!

If this is your first boat, get it. Even if you improve to the point of wanting a more radical playboat, you'll still keep this around for downriver trips.

Only bummer about this boat is that it's real hard to find used ones.
