I was initially impressed with the hull design, and fit and finish which appears to be of good quality. The kayak offers the advantages of a plastic hull with the appearance and smoothness of fiberglass, without the fiberglass cost, and potential for easily being scratched. The seat is comfortable, and foot rests can be adjusted for an adult (such as myself) or for my 10 year old daughter. The kayak moves easily through the water and handles well. Though perhaps vain the kayak also looks sharp. At this time my major deficiency is the lack of safety floation. Unlike some kayaks there is no foam core etc. There is a "piece" of foam that freely is "laying" in the bow of the craft. This was the big negative for me. To address this problem I am installing floatation bags fore and aft. Though configuring one's boat is a very personal item, I think more thought should have been given in this area. Other than that, all of us have found this an affordable easy to enjoy kayak.
