Sawyer Cruiser Canoe Paddle Paddles Review

Sawyer Cruiser Canoe Paddle

Description
Sawyer's oldest design and still a strong performer, this is the quintessential wilderness tripping paddle. Rectangular laminated wood blade is crafted from ponderosa pine, walnut and ash with a solid fiberglass tip for long-term durability. Sawyer-Glassed(TM) reinforced blade combines the beauty of wood with the strength of a composite, preventing any chance of warpage. Ponderosa pine/douglas fir laminated oval shaft is dual-tapered for proper flex and features a comfortable Unigrip(TM). Ideal for cruising, wilderness tripping and up to class 3+ whitewater.

Summary:
I've had Sawyer classics in my paddle bag for 25 years, they're not the lightest or prettiest of the selection, but they feel good in the hand and are amazingly tough. They are a great value for the money.
